INKEE-BEAR & SPIRIT GROOM

Inkee-Bear:  "My chair is purple, the color of Kings! Kings groom before they nap. Spirit is grooming on the girly pink chair.

Spirit:  "Wait!  What?  Did someone say girls?  No? So, 'scuse me while I finish grooming."

WE'RE ALL POST-SNACK GROOMING

See?  We ALL groom after our dry food treat.  That's me under the dining room chair, Spirit near the stairs and Sophee on the stairs.  I don't know where Inkee-Bear is.  Knowing him, he's still  in the kitchen, scarfing up the last of our treats.  Read Meowmuh's MEW 'N NEWS Article on grooming.

GRACEE'S POST-SNACK GROOM

I groom after I eat, before AND after naps, after I am petted or held, when I am upset...

Meowmuh says I have a serious case of displacement behavior because I groom so much. She thinks I'm too anxious. You would be too if you had to keep my younger sibs in line! Read her MEWS 'N NEWS Article on "Grooming."

THE 'WHENS' & 'WHYS' OF CAT GROOMING

Is your precious kitty a predator?  Yes.  Even if our cats are domesticated, kept indoors and called house cats, they are still predators.  And, ALL predators – from polar bears to ladybugs – instinctively clean/groom themselves after they eat.  Please note:  If your cat stops grooming, consult with a veterinarian immediately.  He might be very ill.

CAT HAIR? TRY THE FULMINATOR

Hairballs?  Floating, flying cat hair?  Hair stuck to your fabric furniture?  Sound familiar?  My friend said:  "You have to try the FURminator."  I found it at Petco.  It looks like a short metal comb mounted on a thick, sturdy handle that is easy to grip.  It is called a 'DeShedding Tool."  I tried it on the cat authors and got tons of loose hair. But, most important, I used it on the cat trees, all of the fabric furniture that I have...and, guess what?  It removed the cat hair that the vacuum could not remove.  It was a miracle.
