THE THREE CAT AUTHOR SCOTTISH FOLDS

Three of the Cat Authors are Scottish Fold Straight-Eared cats.  They are wide-eyed, curious, playful, attentive, not real talkative (except when they want to eat) and VERY soft-voiced.  And that is where the similarities end.  Gracee (the red-orange Cat Author) is bossy (including swats and hisses), high-strung and ever watchful.  She hangs back when two-legged critters visit.  Inkee-Bear (the all black Cat Author) is the total antithesis.  He is laid back and social.  He greets two-legged visitors by stretching out on the floor in front of them.  Sophee (the calico Cat Author) is also laid back, extremely curious and playful.  She doesn’t want to miss a thing.

THE EGYPTIAN MAU PERSONALITY

‘Egyptian Mau’ cats are not only unique but one of the oldest known cat breeds still in existence. The word "Mau' means cat and, Spirit, an Eyptian Mau and one of the Cat Authors, is all cat. The following lists some of the Personality Traits of the Egyptian Mau:

I'M AN EGYPTIAN MAU

I'm the only Egyptian Mau in this household.

Me?  I'm the only Egyptian Mau in the house.  The others are Scottish Folds. We do have one thing in common; we love solar-napping up here on our catwalk.  Click on the News article "The Egyptian Mau Personality" to learn about me & other Maus.

SCOTTISH FOLDS/STRAIGHTS PERSONALITY

PERSONALITY PER THE INTERNATIONAL CAT ASSOCIATION (TICA):  Scottish Folds/Straights are intelligent, inquisitive and loyal to their family.  They tend not to hide around the house or be shy but they will always be around, even following you from room to room.  Most tend to be one of the breeds that breeders and judges refer to as "four on the floor" kitties. They prefer to be close to you with all four feet on something firm rather than being picked up and carried around.  Some learn cute antics like how to open cabinet doors and take a look inside. They can even be trained to play fetch.
