I am Spirit, the youngest, strongest, most intense and active of all the cats in my family. I am a silver Egyptian Mau with black spots weighing in at just less than 13 pounds. I was born in November 2012 in Wichita, Kansas; I flew from there to my forever home in Los Angeles. Life is so exciting, isn’t it? I love meeting people, learning new things and having my tummy tickled. I run all the time….up and down the stairs, through the house and on my new cat wheel. View Spirit's Posts.
Spirit: I'm warnin' all you 2 & 4-legged critters out there. There's a real bad day comin' up--the 4 of somethin' or other. There's loud bangs and booms. They're so loud it made my ears twirl & my whiskers curl--and that's bad, real bad. Meowmuh helped us with music and calming spray. Know the most important thing? She stayed home with us.
Spirit: Come back here, Inkee. I've been thinking. Inkee: Miracles never cease. Spirit: We did the 4 thing before. Inkee: Yep. Spirit: I was scared. Inkee: Yes, you were. Meowmuh turned the music on loud & she sprayed Feliway to keep us calm.
Spirit: Meowmuh's talkin' 'bout 4. The 4 of us? Inkee: Nope. Spirit: There's 4 cat trees; I counted. Inkee: Glad you can count. Spirit: Well, what then? Inkee: The 4th of July. Spirit: What's that? Inkee: Independence Day.
OK, OK. So this kitten looks something like me. So what? Meowmuh didn't have to get quite so 'over-the-top' talking with him. Just listen to her. She tells him he's precious. Precious? Bah. Humbug. Actually, she does tell us that we're precious AND special. And, we are. Everyone that knows us knows that!
At cat shows, they judge you by I don't know what. They fur shure judge by breed. Meowmuh said she didn't see any Egyptian Maus or Scottish Folds there so she watched the judging for 'House Cats' or the 'mixed' or 'no-breed' cats. Meowmuh was rooting for a little kitten but he only came in 10th out of some 34 entries. She said she liked the kitten because it looked and acted like me.
Yes, Meowmuh left me again. She went to another cat conference for writers. This time she flew non-stop to Houston, Texas. When I was just a kitten, I flew from Wichita, Kansas to Dallas, Texas, had a layover and then flew to Los Angeles to my furever home. Did I complain? Yep. Meowmuh and Auntie Sharon picked me up. They said they heard LOUD yowling at the LAX terminal.
What? Today is Cinco de Mayo? So when do we celebrate? We need to go to our fav Mexican restaurant -- Joselito's or El Chollo. I want a Cadillac Margarita with Grand Marnier -- no triple sec or Cointreau -- on the rocks, with salt, please. And chips, I want plenty of chips. I think I'll order a Sunrise Machaca Enchilada Ranchero or maybe the sizzling steak Flautas with black beans & rice.
My turn to talk. My gabby sibs are doin' all the talkin' today. We started these pics showing the cat 'Sabina' & we’re going to end showing the 'Stroller Cats & Dog'. Did you notice? The word ‘cats’ is plural. Yes, there are two cats in this pic. The handsome one sitting on the edge of the stroller (looks like me) was a rescue kitten last year.
This thing warns ya' that it's gonna' push somethin' at ya'. As soon as you hear it turn on, then you gotta' watch real close so it doesn't get ya.'. You can see me pouncin' on that thing comin' at me & Meowmuh. And, guess what? I won, I saved the day! The last time I pounced on it, the behemoth went quiet. No more pushin' those things out. Meowmuh says it's jammed.
My job is to help Meowmuh however & whenever I can. So, here I am. Helping. I'm a real 'stand-up' kind of guy, as you can very well see. I'm standing watch while Meowmuh prints the Power Point presentation for her training--a web something or other. What? Oh, Inkee-Bear just said it was a 'webinar.' I hate printers.
