Earthquake!! Did you feel it? When we felines first heard it, my scaredy cat siblings streaked up the stairs a nano second before the house started rocking! Me? I took cover under the dining room chair & table. That's what you're supposed to do plus, I stayed near our hooman.

Inkee: We're wishin' all you critters out there a Meowy Christmas!  Spirit:  Is't this when we get treats?  Inkee: Yes, but this is also when WE give treats to others. T'is the season of GIVING. Understand?  Spirit:  Yes, I understand. So who's GIVING  me MY treats? And when?

SPIRIT:  I'm a pilgrim -- I pilgrimaged from a foreign land -- Egypt! I'm an Egyptian Mau.  INKEE-BEAR:  If you're from Egypt, then I'm from Scotland cause I'm a Scottish Fold. Duh. You came from Kansas, remember? You flew from Wichita to Dallas to Los Angeles & our hooman brought you to OUR home.

I'm askin' all hooman's out there to appreciate us black cats on our day, Black Cat Appreciation Day on October 27. You can give us any or all of the following EXTRAS: treats, pets & scratches, new toys, play time, cuddle time & whatever else your cat asks for. Basically, just appreciate us -- oh yeah -- love us. 

Spirit pays more attention to me if I whisper in his ear. No, I'm not going to tell you what I'm telling him. So, just in case you ever wondered if we cats ever talk to each other -- the answer is:  "Yes, we do!"

SPIRIT:  OK, OK.  Cut it out.  Quit buggin' me!  I've got bigger & better fish to fry if you know what I mean.  INKEE-BEAR:  You may be the fastest cat in the house but you're also the biggest guy cry-baby in the house.  Wait, hold on!  Don't be always runnin' off.  Oops. A bit of a snag here.  Didn't really mean to snag you like that, dude.

SPIRIT:  Inkee-Bear, we're best buddies, right?  INKEE-BEAR:  Dunno' if I'd say "best" buddies. SPIRIT:  Whaddya' mean? If we're not best buddies, then what are we? INKEE-BEAR:  I'd say we're siblings.

I love lickin' tape and anythin' plastic.  When I saw these bags -- like, wow!  I know she isn't happy with me sprawlin' on her kitchen counter but how can a guy resist plastic bags?  I also rearrange the bags, that's what I call work.  So, I'm workin' on Labor Day.  It's a Federal Holiday so I expect time-and-a-half compensation -- in treats that is. 

I want to send a meow-out or a shout-out as in human terms, to all the black felines out there on this, our day -- Black Cat Appreciation Day --celebrated on Saturday, August 17. We are mysterious, we are loveable, we are special.  So, please celebrate our day your way. Maybe adopt a black cat? A senior black cat? Or a black kitten. Either or both would be totally cool.
