Today is my birthday?  Today -- you mean April 4?  And exactly how old did you say I am?  Eleven?  So, in human years, that makes me how old?  Sixty years old?  Yikes!!  Could we maybe just forget today? Meowrrrrrr.

Let's celebrate National Black Cat Day on Sunday, Nov 17 by giving treats, playtime, a good cuddle & lotsa' love to your black cat. If you're going to adopt a cat, adopt a black cat &/or kitten. You won't be sorry. Just ask my hooman!  

Yes, it's another Black Cat Day -- National Black Cat Day, that is.  This time it's on Sunday, November 17.  We are many different breeds  -- we are male & female.  We may look serious & mysterious but we love to be silly, cuddle & purr. Next time you adopt, go with one of us.  You won't regret it.

No, I didn't "take over" our dining room chair like my hooman thinks I did.  It's called "sharing."  I'm sharing the chair with with our friend and house guest, Muriel, at our dining room table.  It's fun to sit with hoomans. Muriel has a nice soft voice. She & her husband, Lee, gave us lots of pets. Since when do cats not like attention?

Sometimes a big brother's gotta' do what a big brother's gotta' do. In this instance, I'm holdin' Spirit back -- it's my infamous "one-paw-hold."  I'm tryin' to keep him from gettin' in more trouble. This little silver & black cat gets into more "troub" than the rest of us put together.

Guess you can see what my fav treat is --  yogurt!  I'm wearin' it now. When our hooman finishes her yogurt for breakfast, she lets us lick the container clean. I love yogurt!  You have to know how to get your muzzle in that container to lick it clean as a whistle. Yogurt!  Yum!  

We're the "Committee." We meet on our stair landing at least weekly to "meow" & "yowl" -- you know, talk things over, work things out. Not just for us but for our hooman too. But you can never work things out with Gracee. She doesn't even meet with us. Just because she's the oldest, she thinks everything should be her way or the highway.  Sigh. 

I always "place" myself on this green lily pad-placemat as soon as our hooman lifts our water bowl, carries the bowl to the kitchen sink, turns on the water, rinses the bowl, fills it & "Purr, Purr!" -- serves us our fresh, cool water. Sometimes she puts my fav thing in it -- little pieces of ice or a REALLY BIG ice cube!  "Purr Purr Purr!"  Don't be surprised by ice cubes.

Stop with the histrionics, Spirit!  Yes, I said I got a lizard, not a laser, a L-I-Z-A-R-D.  Got it?  This little lizard isn't the brightest in the world either -- he chose to come in a house with four -- yes, count them, four -- indoor cats.  It's not often I get to give my hooman a gift.  Oops, what happened to it?  Oh, I know.

So what if I like to look at things upside down. I'm not the only cat that prefers upside down.  No, I don't get dizzy.  Besides, things look better upside down. Yes, they do. If you don't believe me, TRY IT!
