Gracee

Meet Gracee

I am Gracee, the oldest. I was born in March 2011; I am a straight-eared Scottish Fold -- orange, cute and fluffy. But just because I am cute and just less than 8 pounds, doesn’t mean that I am a push over. I tell the others what to do….hssss…spat. I have to be fearsome so they respect me. And they do, they respect me. Really. Now when it comes to people….red alert! If they might be ok, I sit at the top of the second floor stairs and watch them; but if they aren’t ok, I dive under the bed covers and wait until the danger has exited. View Gracee's Posts.

WATCH ME CATCH ONE!

(If you can't see this video, click on the above Title) My moniker is 'Gracee Fast Paws.'  I'll get one of these critters. Some moths don't have mouth parts. They drink nectar. Weird, huh? Moths are eaten by bats, owls, birds, lizards, CATS, dogs, rodents & some bears.

DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

Do you know how much work this is? It takes focus, it takes commitment, it takes tilting your head one way & then the other. One moth is valued: The silkworm moth has been farmed for thousands of years by the Chinese for the silk they create to build their cocoons. The silk industry produces 130 million kg (1 kg = 2.2 lbs)  of silk worth about $250 million each year.

OFFICIAL MOTH GUARD

Do you know what pests some of these little things can be? They can eat Meowmuh's clothes & our blankets. I want to know why they are so obsessed with artificial light. Yes, they fly around & around it--they won't go away. They want to come inside. I dare 'em, I double dare 'em! Watch my video: "WATCH ME CATCH ONE!"

HOMEWATCH'S HOME CARE

Meowmuh needed help for a few days after she got out of the hospital 'cause she's the only hooman that takes care of us. She wanted hoomans who liked cats & weren't allergic. She found HomeWatch. They liked us & we liked them. Here, HomeWatch's Amalia plays with us.

YOU READ, I ABSORB

I don't have to "read"  stories to "know" 'em. All I have to do is rest on 'em and I"know" 'em 'cause I "absorb" 'em. Betcha' you wish you could do that. But everyone knows that cats have heightened, other-worldly sensory perceptors. Meowmuh has to get her glasses, sit down & read the story word by word. Not me!

WRITING CLASS STORIES

Yes I CAN! I can "absorb" these stories while I'm upside down. They're handouts from Marion Bright's writing class in Pasadena. I found 'em on the stair landing, & rearranged 'em into a comfy nest for catnapping. See Hemingway's story? He loved cats, particularly polydactyl cats. THE CAT CABINET

This is it! Our very own "Cat Cabinet." The top two shelves have our dry food & our old carriers (we're getting new ones). Why new carriers?  'Cause we're special. The next shelves have our food delivered to our door by Chewy. Purrrrr. Below that are the drawers with our toys.

BIG DELIVERY

Tails up on this investigation. That's my orange tail. We're  investigating the newest and biggest delivery ever. And it's for us. We love boxes, especially Chewy boxes. Be sure & check out the "Cat Cabinet" that Meowmuh organized just for us. (Disclaimer: No money or offers have been made by Chewy to display the boxes.) Online ordering works for us & the boxes are fun.

MY MOM IS YOUR MOM?

What? My mom is your mom?

What? My mom is Sophee's mom too? You're pullin' my paw, right? We don't look or act alike. That's hard to believe! But that must be why folks are always sayin:' "You look just like your dad!" They say I have his floofy orange coat. But I AM a year older than Sophee. Anyway, wishin' a late happy mom's day to mine, hers & yours.

GRACEE NAPS AFTER "CIRCLES"

Play, watch out the windows 'n doors, eat, & sleep. So far today, I played, I watched, I ate & now I sleep. It's what cats do. We sleep 16 - 18 hours/day. All of that twistin' & turnin' playin' "Circles" plum wore me out, if you know what I mean. I couldn't do one more circle 'round that track so I "crashed," guess you can see that. Be sure & watch my video next.
