Gracee

Meet Gracee

I am Gracee, the oldest. I was born in March 2011; I am a straight-eared Scottish Fold -- orange, cute and fluffy. But just because I am cute and just less than 8 pounds, doesn’t mean that I am a push over. I tell the others what to do….hssss…spat. I have to be fearsome so they respect me. And they do, they respect me. Really. Now when it comes to people….red alert! If they might be ok, I sit at the top of the second floor stairs and watch them; but if they aren’t ok, I dive under the bed covers and wait until the danger has exited. View Gracee's Posts.

BLOGPAWS: DREADLOCKS DOG

Now here's a unique guy. Look at those dreadlocks! Maybe he's a Rastafarian-Poodle mix. He's kinda' orange, like me. People were taking lots of pics of him. If we'd been there, betcha' lots of folks would take pics of us too, particularly me since I'm orange too. Guess folks like orange.

BLOGPAWS: SABINA

Meowmuh went to the BlogPaws Conference in Kansas City, Missouri in April. She met two-legged & four-legged critters. This is Sabina, a four-legged feline critter. She is sort of orange, sort of like me.  I'm all orange, some people say I'm red. But we were left Meowmuhless for FOUR DAYS!  Fortunately, our Auntie Sharon took care of us.

WARNING: EASTER LILIES ARE POISON FOR OUR CATS

The Humane Society says:  ALL PARTS OF AN EASTER LILY ARE POISONOUS.  If you have an indoor cat, DO NOT put an Easter Lily in your home -- not even up high. You know we cats can go anywhere we want.  If your cats are indoor-outdoor cats, or if you feed feral cats, DO NOT place Easter Lilies on your porch or around your house.  Meowmuh told us to be sure & tell you.

GRACEE CONFERS WITH A BUNNY

You're one dope lookin' bunny but Easter Bunny you're not. You think I'm a fool? Easter Bunnies don't wear shades. You tryin' to be cool or somethin'? You look kinda' out there, know what I"m sayin'? Besides, where's your basket filled with eggs? Easter Bunnies have fancy eggs -- different colors & designs.

GRACEE'S INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Thursday March 8 was International Woman's Day. How did I exercise my rights as a woman? Yep, you guessed it. I exercised my 'right' to nap--catnap that is.

CAROLS?

Sophee: Meowmuh, when are we going to practice our Christmas Carols on the piano? We like it when you play, even if no one else does. I like "Winter Wonderland,' "Jingle Bells"--"Who's that Kitten in the Window? Meow. Meow." Gracee: No, no, it's "Who's that Doggie in the Window? Arf Arf" AND that song is NOT a Christmas Carol! Good grief.

WATCH ME CATCH ONE!

(If you can't see this video, click on the above Title) My moniker is 'Gracee Fast Paws.'  I'll get one of these critters. Some moths don't have mouth parts. They drink nectar. Weird, huh? Moths are eaten by bats, owls, birds, lizards, CATS, dogs, rodents & some bears.

DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

Do you know how much work this is? It takes focus, it takes commitment, it takes tilting your head one way & then the other. One moth is valued: The silkworm moth has been farmed for thousands of years by the Chinese for the silk they create to build their cocoons. The silk industry produces 130 million kg (1 kg = 2.2 lbs)  of silk worth about $250 million each year.

OFFICIAL MOTH GUARD

Do you know what pests some of these little things can be? They can eat Meowmuh's clothes & our blankets. I want to know why they are so obsessed with artificial light. Yes, they fly around & around it--they won't go away. They want to come inside. I dare 'em, I double dare 'em! Watch my video: "WATCH ME CATCH ONE!"
