Pinatas are made of papier-mache, pottery, cloth or cardboard -- decorated & filled with small toys, candy or both for parties/celebrations -- like birthdays, New Years, Cinco de Mayo. Then they're broken as part of the celebration & everyone scrambles for the toys/candy. SOPHEE: You mean there would be treats there for me? HER HOOMAN: Theoretically, yes.
