MOTHER'S DAY
by Gracee on May 12 2018 Add Comment

Yes, Sophee & I have the same cat Mom. And Sophee is sweet, like she says. Everyone loves her. Sometimes it makes me so mad. And we do have the same hooman Mom--we call her Meowmuh. She takes care of us, plays with us, gets fun toys for us. The only thing we don't like are those mani/pedi appointments with our vet. Grrrr. Hissss. We don't like shots either. But our hooman Mom says she has to do what a Mom has to do. We'll never admit it but we know she's right. So we wish all of you Moms & Meowmuhs a Happy Mom's Day.

WE HAVE THE SAME MOM
by Sophee on May 12 2018 Add Comment

My sister Gracee & I are not the same age but we have the same cat Mom. What's cool is, we share the same hooman Mom too--we call her Meowmuh. I look like my cat Mom. Gracee looks like her cat Dad. Our Meowmuh gets special things for us--a huge exercise wheel that Spirit & I run on & a stroller that we take rides in. Sometimes we sit outside in our stroller & just watch the birds & butterflies. I want to say thanks & wish all of you Moms & Meowmuhs out there a Happy Mom's Day with a special wish to our hooman Meowmuh.

FOR MOTHER'S DAY

Meowmuh discovered a long white box leaning on the front door yesterday. The gift card on the front of the box said: "Thank you for being such a good mommy to us. Love, Gracee, Inkee, Sophee & Spirit." How did we cats send her flowers? Well, we'll tell you. Our Auntie Laurel did one of those things that only hoomans can do. She sent our Meowmuh a Meowmuh's Day gift -- these beautiful flowers from Hawaii. Thank you, Auntie Laurel.

CINCO DE MAYO AGAIN?
by Sophee on May 5 2018 Add Comment

Today is Cinco de Mayo? So soon? Frankly, I haven't recovered from last year's Cinco de Mayo. When we went out last year, I ordered the largest Cadillac Margarita. They must've put an extra shot of something in there cause, I swear, that drink made my ears spin. I had to hang on to my whiskers--seriously.  Just like I'm doin' here. Spirit likes his Margarita on the rocks, I like mine blended, thank you very much with just a touch of salt on the rim. Not too much or I won't drink it. Ready? Let's go! We wish you & yours a Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

CINCO DE MAYO ALREADY?
by Spirit on May 5 2018 Add Comment

What? Today is Cinco de Mayo? So when do we celebrate? We need to go to our fav Mexican restaurant -- Joselito's or El Chollo. I want a Cadillac Margarita with Grand Marnier -- no triple sec or Cointreau -- on the rocks, with salt, please. And chips, I want plenty of chips. I think I'll order a Sunrise Machaca Enchilada Ranchero or maybe the sizzling steak Flautas with black beans & rice. Hmmm. It'll be mouth-watering good!!  Happy Cinco de Mayo!

BLOGPAWS: THE STROLLER CATS (& DOG)
by Spirit on Apr 30 2018 Add Comment

My turn to talk. My gabby sibs are doin' all the talkin' today. We started these pics showing the cat 'Sabina' & we’re going to end showing the 'Stroller Cats & Dog'. Did you notice? The word ‘cats’ is plural. Yes, there are two cats in this pic. The handsome one sitting on the edge of the stroller (looks like me) was a rescue kitten last year. To the far left (on the other side of the ‘floofy’ dog) is a little black kitten... just rescued.

BLOGPAWS: THE FEE-LIN' FINE FELINE SISTERS
by Sophee on Apr 30 2018 Add Comment

These are two siblings.They're multi-colored like me but they only have two colors. I have THREE! The sister on the left knows how to 'bump-paw'. She does a high-five to her hooman's fist. Very cool. Her hooman says she's real smart. NEWS FLASH:  so are we, ALL of us. Well, maybe me more than the others.  Calicos are supposed to be smarter, everyone knows that. Right?

BLOGPAWS: THE CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG
by Sophee on Apr 30 2018 Add Comment

This guy is big. He's a Golden Doodle, whatever that is. But, most important, he's a Certified Therapy Dog. He graduated from the year long course. Now, as soon as his vest is on, he knows he is going to 'work.' He'll become something other than 'just a dog.' He was trained to put his chin & paw on the patients he visits. He works in an assisted living home & is going to branch out to hospices. When his vest comes off, he is all dog -- jumping between the beds in the room, tearing all the towels off the racks. We think he deserves as much 'I'm-gonna'-be-a-dog' time as he wants.

BLOGPAWS: A CATTLE DOG MIX
by Sophee on Apr 30 2018 Add Comment

Don't you just love this guy? He's multi-colored like me - I'm the calico in my family so I have three colors--orange, white & black.  This handsome dude has a T-shirt on so I can't tell if he has three colors or just two. Either way, he's handsome & he got lots of pets & scratches from Meowmuh. Meowmuh was there giving 'them' her attention & we were here without her attention. We actually went without her for 4 days or 96 hours or 5,760 minutes. That's a long time, even in cat time.

BLOGPAWS: DREADLOCKS DOG
by Gracee on Apr 30 2018 Add Comment

Now here's a unique guy. Look at those dreadlocks! Maybe he's a Rastafarian-Poodle mix. He's kinda' orange, like me. People were taking lots of pics of him. If we'd been there, betcha' lots of folks would take pics of us too, particularly me since I'm orange too. Guess folks like orange.

BLOGPAWS: SABINA
by Gracee on Apr 30 2018 Add Comment

Meowmuh went to the BlogPaws Conference in Kansas City, Missouri in April. She met two-legged & four-legged critters. This is Sabina, a four-legged feline critter. She is sort of orange, sort of like me.  I'm all orange, some people say I'm red. But we were left Meowmuhless for FOUR DAYS!  Fortunately, our Auntie Sharon took care of us. She fed us & talked to us & FINALLY, Meowmuh came home.

A Total Tongue Lashing

Watch Inkee-Bear's trance-like routine: knead, purr, lick, nap.

by Inkee-Bear on Apr 22 2018 Add Comment

Meowmuh says I go into a trance when I knead. As you can see, I am focused. I don't know why my tongue pops out--but it does. We googled it & couldn't find any reason. Some cats suck while they knead. I don't suck, my tongue just sort of -- pops out there. Then, I'm finished & it's time for my nap.

KNEADIN' 'N LICKIN'
by Inkee-Bear on Apr 22 2018 Add Comment

I'm sittin' with Meowmuh. Her suitcases are out. She must be leavin' us again. So I knead, I mean, I need to get some kneadin' n' lickin' in before she leaves. Then I'm gonna do my next fav thing--settle down & take a nap right here next to Meowmuh. Be sure & watch my video: Tongue Lickin' while Kneadin'.

THE PRINTER POUNCE (if you can't see this video, click here, on the Title)

This thing warns ya' that it's gonna' push somethin' at ya'. As soon as you hear it turn on, then you gotta' watch real close so it doesn't get ya.'. You can see me pouncin' on that thing comin' at me & Meowmuh. And, guess what? I won, I saved the day!  The last time I pounced on it, the behemoth went quiet. No more pushin' those things out. Meowmuh says it's jammed. She says: "Only Spirit could do that." See how proud she is of me?

POUNCING ON THE ENEMY
by Spirit on Apr 13 2018 Add Comment

My job is to help Meowmuh however & whenever I can. So, here I am. Helping. I'm a real 'stand-up' kind of guy, as you can very well see. I'm standing watch while Meowmuh prints the Power Point presentation for her training--a web something or other.  What? Oh, Inkee-Bear just said it was a 'webinar.' I hate printers. You gotta' watch 'em REAL CLOSE or they'll get ya'!  You'll see in the video.

GRANT REVIEWING
by Spirit on Apr 13 2018 Add Comment

Meowmuh agreed to review some grant applications to help some old dogs --I mean Senior dogs-- for the Grey Muzzle Organization @ greymuzzle.org. So, I'm being my usual helpful self as you'll see in the next pic (Pouncing on the Enemy) & video (The Printer Pounce).

PAWS 'N PARASOLS (If you don't see this video, click HERE)
by Sophee on Apr 6 2018 Add Comment

Do you see this? It's a big, wet dripping thing -- Meowmuh says it's a parasol. But it's mysterious & intriguing if you know what I mean. I can hide on one side, reach under with my paw, & -- like magic -- I'm inside it, reaching under to the side where I think I was before. Betcha' the other critters that live here will never find me. This is too much fun! You oughta' try it. Hide under your parasol.
