Cat Tree

Gracee, you don't believe me do you? Turkeys can fly!  Wild turkeys that is, not the turkeys raised on farms.  Sophee, I don't believe anything you meow! So prove it. We'll watch for a flying turkey.

Are you a wild turkey or a domestic turkey? There's a difference. Our hooman says wild turkeys: eat off the ground, roost in trees, can fly @ 40 to 50 mph but only for short distances,  can run on terra firma @ 12 mph, & are adept swimmers. They move through water by tucking their wings in close, spreading their tails & kicking!

This is my fav cat artist -- Jamie Perry. And this is my fav kind of cat, a black cat -- just like me. I love perchin' here & lookin' at him.  Does he know Oct 27 is Black Cat Appreciation Day? Somebody better tell him, don't you think?  

A girl has to cool her claws sometimes if you know what I mean. Hopefully, my speedster youngest brother, Spirit, in the shadows behind me, will give me a break for a few anyway. "Hey, Spirit, I need a time-out!"  He needs to be given direction directly from me if you know what I mean.

Hey & Hi to all you fine black fella & gal felines out there!  Tomorrow, Saturday August 17, is your/our day. They call it Black Cat Appreciation Day. Did you know there are more black guy than gal cats? It's true.  Another did you know question. The Cat Fanciers' Association says there are how many breeds that list the color black as an option?  Answer:  22 that's twenty-two.

This is where you'll usually find me. I hang out in the barrel of our newest cat tree. It's right next to the dining room table where my hooman sits. I get pets & tummy scratches everytime she gets up. Plus, Spirit can't bug me when I'm in my barrel. I have knocked him out of the tree when he's tried. Yes, I have.

I was not prepared to be left in charge of our house AND my siblings last month!  For five whole days!  I know Gracee is the oldest but I'm second oldest and I'm a guy and I'm bigger so I should be in charge.  I'm all for our hooman learning more about cats at these conferences.  That's good for us -- and other cats too.

Spirit:  "I got up here with my cone on!"  Inkee-Bear:  "What IS around his neck?"  Sophee:  "I don't know. Better him than me!"  Inkee-Bear:  "You're so right! Wonder if it has to do with that mosquito bite?"  Sophee:  "I bet it does.

Wowee! Meowmuh's takin' my picture in our cat tree!! She laughs when I act silly. But I can't let the others see me bein' silly. I'm the oldest so I have to be the boss. I'm not really mean but I can't be a pushover either. I don't like anyone messin' with me or tryin' to bully me -- like Spirit & especially Inkee-Bear!!
