Meet Spirit
I am Spirit, the youngest, strongest, most intense and active of all the cats in my family. I am a silver Egyptian Mau with black spots weighing in at just less than 13 pounds. I was born in November 2012 in Wichita, Kansas; I flew from there to my forever home in Los Angeles. Life is so exciting, isn’t it? I'm thinking. To be good or not to be good, that is the question. How hard is it to be good? I sleep maybe 12 hours most days. I'm 'good' when I'm asleep. That's 50% of the time. The rest of the time....??? Well, there's always next year - 2017. That's tomorrow? Yikes. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We are supposed to make a New Year's resol -- what? Resolution? Is that like a promise? For the New Year? Ok. That's easy, I promise to be good. But first, I need to know, just how good do I have to be? ' Really good' or just 'good enough' good?
SOPHEE: Frosty is made of snow? But we don't have snow, we have rain drops. Alot of drops in the last few days." SPIRIT: "Wait, there's noise coming from the back. Christmas carols? It's Christmas? Does Christmas mean treats? Yes? I love Christmas!
Puh-leez fix our stroller. You don't know how to fix it? It needs new bearings? We can't "bear" this any longer. I'd fix the bearings myself if I knew how. The stroller needs 2 go 2 a bike shop to get fixed? U needed 2 break it down first? But U did do it. I'm doin' a sit-in on this stroller 'til you put it in the car!
Spirit: ZZZZZZ.
Meowmuh shakes her head & says: "Spirit is sound asleep...still just sitting there....on top of the flat screen TV! Should I wake him up? If I do, he might fall. If I don't....."
Yeowl. Yawn. Know what time it is? Yep. You guessed it. It's nap time....cat nap time.
Hoomans watch TV. Cats sit on TVs. In our house, it is definitely the purr-felt place to sit and watch my hooman. I don't know where the other critters are in this house...but Meowmuh is right here, taking pictures of her fav cat...ME!
Sophee & I are playing our fav game....hide-&-seek tag! I chase her, I find her - - then she chases me -- I hide -- she finds me -- you know the drill. Bet you already guessed who's the fastest cat. Ok, ok. So Sophee's more nimble. Big deal. But where did she go? Maybe she's in the cat tree. Lemme' see....oops!!! Who put that box up there anyhow!?
I oversee all aspects of our blog. I protect Meowmuh from the big monster that 'wakes up' & 'sends' things at us. I heard it 'waking up' so I sat in front of the monster and waited for the things. When they came at me, I hit them. But it attacked me!! My advice? Never stand in front of things that come at you.
Spirit: Mewomuh, did U heer that noise?
Inkee: He didn't heer anything or C anything 'cause there isn't anything.
Spirit: I'm talkin' 2 Meowmuh! Quit grindin' UR teeth! Drives me nuts!
Inkee: UR the reason I grind my teeth!
Spirit: The vet says UR the only cat she's ever seen that grinds his teeth.
Inkee: Well, she doesn't live with U 24/7.
