I gotta' take this Hallow-weird investigation into my own paws. The pun-kin's harmless. But, what is this thing? It's black all over--like a little Inkee-Bear? No, no. Look at all those legs. It climbed up here? Or dropped down from--? Like Spider Man? Wait, I know--it's a big spider!

Why so much orange? Cause of Hallow-weird--Halloween? Why are these "things" sittin' here? Too weird. I mean, if you're lookin' at my pic, are you left like totally speechless? meowless? An orange pup-kin? It makes a yowlin, ghoulish sound that makes me literally flee to my blanket. No, not on it, under it. Know what I mean?

Egyptian's royal households revered we black cats. We were adorned in jewels & allowed to eat off their plates. We were the symbol of Bastet, the black cat-headed Goddess of Protection. They believed that she would become part of their cat & would grace their home with riches, prosperity and fertility. In Egypt, the death of a cat was mourned like a family member & was mummified.

Hey you Black Cats. Let's celebrate! Friday Oct. 27 is National Black Cats Day. DID YOU KNOW:  22 breeds can come with solid black coats. The Bombay breed is exclusively black. Black coats are more prevalent in males. Genetic mutations make us more resilient to disease. Excessive melanin causes our coats to be black. We're easy to name. Adopt one of us.

Meowmuh needed help for a few days after she got out of the hospital 'cause she's the only hooman that takes care of us. She wanted hoomans who liked cats & weren't allergic. She found HomeWatch. They liked us & we liked them. Here, HomeWatch's Amalia plays with us.

I'm helping Meowmuh heal.They replaced her right knee so she has a big oweee. She keeps busy watching TV, reading, doing those awful exercises and giving us all the attention that we deserve, need and love. Our neighbors & friends, Aunties Rika, Sharon & Laurel helped us too. 

My fav thing to do? Ride on Meowmuh's walker. She walks, I ride. Doesn't matter if it's 3 am or 3 pm. She walks, I ride. When it's just sittin' there, if I run fast & jump on it, it rolls.That's a real ride! Read 'Why is the Walker So Heavy?' & 'Meowmuh's New Knee' under MEWS 'N NEWS.

Here they are -- our SlimCat Interactive Feeders. The green ball's circle-top is off. The blue ball's circle-top is still on. The openings around each ball let the food drop out when we roll 'em. Meowmuh adjusted the size of the openings. Our dry food is big so the openings are at their largest. Be sure to watch our video: Huntin' for Food.

(If you can't see our video, click on the Title) I figured out how to get my food cause I use my paws much, much more than the other dimwits  in this video. It's fun, it's competition. My reward? Food, tasty food. The first 'course' for our breakfast is our wet food. The second course is our dry food. Mostly it's served in our bowls but sometimes this way. 

I get it. The food's in the balls. Know how I found out? I sniffed & snuffed all around one ball, put my nose against it &, guess what? When the ball rolled, our dry food just jumped out. Now I know. Push the ball, paw the ball, move the ball -- and eat. Be sure to watch our video: Huntin' for Food.

I don't have to "read"  stories to "know" 'em. All I have to do is rest on ​'em and I"know" 'em 'cause I "absorb" 'em. Betcha' you wish you could do that. But everyone knows that cats have heightened, other-worldly sensory perceptors. Meowmuh has to get her glasses, sit down & read the story word by word. Not me!

Yes I CAN! I can "absorb" these stories while I'm upside down. They're handouts from Marion Bright's writing class in Pasadena. OMG! Did ya' feel that? That was close. If you ask me, it sounds like war out there. The neighbors did that? It shook our house. They've been at it every night for 3 weeks. They're gonna' do it tomorrow too? Totally not fair. Can't they find somethin' better to do? Maybe we need to call the Paw-lease. Hope your 4th is nothin' short of purr-fect which would clearly be better'n ours. Yikes.

Inkee-Bear & I are hard-core patriotic Americats, know what I mean? Just wanna' wish all you two-legged and four-legged patriots out there a safe and Happy Fourth of July. Meowmuh has the TV on so the noises aren't too bad & she sprayed Feliway to calm us. Actually, I'm goin' to take a little nap, you know, a cat nap.

This is it! Our very own "Cat Cabinet." The top two shelves have our dry food & our old carriers (we're getting new ones). Why new carriers?  'Cause we're special. The next shelves have our food delivered to our door by Chewy. Purrrrr. Below that are the drawers with our toys.

Tails up on this investigation. That's my orange tail. We're  investigating the newest and biggest delivery ever. And it's for us. We love boxes, especially Chewy boxes. Meowmuh tried something new. Instead of buying food at a store, she ordered it online from this company called "Chewy." It was delivered today! You caught me here inspecting some of the items still in the box. There's a second box. It was huge & heavy. Meowmuh unloaded it & put our cases of food in our very own, special "Cat Cabinet."   

First of all, I'm givin' a yowl out to my only hooman uncle, John B. Happy Dad's Day, Uncle John. My cat dad is Mr. Kool-Kat. Cool name, huh? My mom's pure white but my dad is pure black--like me. My dad, Mr. Kool-Kat, is also Sophee's dad. Sophee looks like her mom. I look like, no big surprise here, my dad. Another no-big surprise? I'm cool too - I mean kool.
