Meet Inkee-Bear
I am Inkee-Bear. Some say my name should be Mellow-Purr-Bear because I take life as it comes. I was born in April 2011 or three weeks after Gracee. I am a silky, midnight-black, straight-eared Scottish Fold weighing in at almost 13 pounds. I was very sick when I first went to my forever home but my meowmuh and the lady Doc saved me. I purr most of the time but always when I think of them. View Inkee-Bear's Posts.
We're exhausted. We've been taking down our Christmas decorations all day. Kind of sad. All the Santas, the deer, the angels, the elves, they're all getting packed away in baggies, bags, & plastic bins. This festive Christmas throw covered our big recliner. But now it's time to get it washed & put away with all the other things for next Christmas.
Inkee-Bear: "We're waitin' for Santa. Sleep? Did you say sleep? Tonight? The night before Christmas? I keep tellin' Spirit. We have to be patient. But Spirit is--well, you probably already figured it out." Spirit: What? I'm patient -- most of the time. So what if I jump at every little noise? I'm what you call high-strung.
I can help decorate! Trust me. I'm a good decorator. Please?!! I'll string garlands, lights. Whatever you want. What? OK. OK. So I'm better at unstringing. So what? Can't hold that against a critter, can you?
It's a rainy day in 'Sunny, Southern California' -- nothing to watch -- no birds, no leaves, no squirrels, no racoons, nothin.' We listened & watched rain drops 'til we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer. Meowmuh said we were clearly hip-no-tie-zed.
Spirit: What does 'TEASE' mean? Inkee-Bear: It means to 'tantalize by arousing curiosity.' So, the 'CatTail TEASER' is a purr-dee purr-fect toy for us cats cause, as all 2 & 4-legged critters know, we cats are VERY curious. Yes, indeedy.
Meowmuh likes this toy cause there's no parts for us to break off & swallow. It's called THE CatTail TEASER. They come in different colors. I know the girls, Gracee & Sophee, will love it. They're super pouncers & jumpers.
Spirit: Hey, what's this? Inkee-Bear: Dunno.' Somethin' in a package. You sniff it; I'll lick it. What does it say it is? Spirit: It's upside down! I don't read 'upside down.' Inkee-Bear: You don't read period! Ask Meowmuh -- she got it for us at CatConLA2018. She says it's a toy.
Oh, now I get it. So,let me get this straight. Halloween's about scary things like ghosts -- skeletons -- flying, cackling witches -- & something else. Gimme' a minute. I'll think of it. You know, what big & little hoomans shout when you open your door on Halloween night. "Trick & Tweet." No, that's not it. "Trick & Treat!" That's what they say. TREATS!!
BONES? Did you say a hand -- wait -- the bones of a hand are actually hangin' from my collar? My collar? Are you serious? That's not right, that's just plain scary. There must be more to this than meets the eye.
Yup, this is my fav way of viewin’ the world. Upside down. I’m wishin’ that all black cats out there get lotsa’ APPRECIATION from all 4 & 2-legged critters on this, OUR day--Oct. 27--National BLACK CAT Appreciation Day!
