Meet Inkee-Bear
I am Inkee-Bear. Some say my name should be Mellow-Purr-Bear because I take life as it comes. I was born in April 2011 or three weeks after Gracee. I am a silky, midnight-black, straight-eared Scottish Fold weighing in at almost 13 pounds. I was very sick when I first went to my forever home but my meowmuh and the lady Doc saved me. I purr most of the time but always when I think of them. View Inkee-Bear's Posts.
Stop with the histrionics, Spirit! Yes, I said I got a lizard, not a laser, a L-I-Z-A-R-D. Got it? This little lizard isn't the brightest in the world either -- he chose to come in a house with four -- yes, count them, four -- indoor cats. It's not often I get to give my hooman a gift. Oops, what happened to it? Oh, I know.
I love lickin' tape and anythin' plastic. When I saw these bags -- like, wow! I know she isn't happy with me sprawlin' on her kitchen counter but how can a guy resist plastic bags? I also rearrange the bags, that's what I call work. So, I'm workin' on Labor Day. It's a Federal Holiday so I expect time-and-a-half compensation -- in treats that is.
I want to send a meow-out or a shout-out as in human terms, to all the black felines out there on this, our day -- Black Cat Appreciation Day --celebrated on Saturday, August 17. We are mysterious, we are loveable, we are special. So, please celebrate our day your way. Maybe adopt a black cat? A senior black cat? Or a black kitten. Either or both would be totally cool.
Hey & Hi to all you fine black fella & gal felines out there! Tomorrow, Saturday August 17, is your/our day. They call it Black Cat Appreciation Day. Did you know there are more black guy than gal cats? It's true. Another did you know question. The Cat Fanciers' Association says there are how many breeds that list the color black as an option? Answer: 22 that's twenty-two.
Thank goodness we’re indoor-only cats. How will we celebrate International Cat Day on August 8? The usual way. With the air conditioner cranked up to make the triple digit heat bearable.
So what if I like to look at things upside down. I'm not the only cat that prefers upside down. No, I don't get dizzy. Besides, things look better upside down. Yes, they do. If you don't believe me, TRY IT!
Our hooman's laughing at us. Yes, she is. She says that we're too big for this box, that we're makin' the box bulge, that we're goin' to be furever known as "The Bulging-Box-Boy-Buddies." We don't care. We like to groom each other, nap together, be together. We each sat in this box alone & we each fit.
It's my turn in Gracee's box. She's been hoarding it! You know how we cats are. I haven't met a cat yet who passes up a chance to try out a new box -- or an old box for that matter. Actually, we cats have to sit on everything/anything in our houses -- anything new, anything old, just anything. You see me here illustrating that old adage: "If it Fits I Sits."
It's nail time -- ho hum. They're nice here. See the vet assistant holding up her phone? She's showin' us her black cat. All black cats are cool -- and, of course, handsome. So, if you're lookin at this pic, you're gettin' two handsome black cats in one picture.
We’re both wishin’ all critters out there a fun, safe & sane Independence Day!!
