Meet Sophee
I am Sophee; my registered name is Ms. Sophista-Kat. I am a calico, straight-eared Scottish Fold born in January 2012. I have the same father as Inkee-Bear and the same mother as Gracee. I might be the smallest but I have the loudest purr…I weigh less than 7 pounds. I love to play and let all of the other cats groom me. View Sophee's Posts.
Know what? I LOVE rainy days. Know why? Cause our hooman puts this thing on our stair landing -- but she only leaves it there for awhile. So you have to investigate right away. That's what we cats are good at -- Investigating! Now watch. You have to move slowly & carefully cause sometimes it rolls.
We love it when they deliver the Cat Lady Box. It comes every month. But even more fun than the delivery is when it's opened. This month the box included not just toys for us but this cool T-shirt for our hoooman. She says she'll wear it with pride all day on Mom's Day cause she is our Cat Mom. Happy Mom's Day to all you Moms out there!!
Our hooman googles -- 'looks things up' -- 'researches.' Anyhoo, she wanted to know the 'history' of Pinatas. She discovered Pinatas might have originated in China & were taken to Italy by Marco Polo when he travelled there in the 13th Century. Figures of animals such as cows, oxen or buffaloes were covered with colored paper & ribbons for the Chinese New Year & filled with seeds.
I don't know about all these celebrations & paw-tees. But treats sound good to me, know what I mean? My hooman said she'd break the Pinata for us but she thinks too many treats aren't healthy. But critters gotta' paw-tee some time! Right? So, I want all you critters out there to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us.
SOPHEE: And, pray tell, what is this? HER HOOMAN: It's a Pinata -- in this case, it's a container that looks like a burro.
SOPHEE: I told you last year -- my ears hate hats. What kinda' hat is this anyway? HER HOOMAN: I'm not asking you to wear it; just pose with it. To answer your question, 'Sombrero' is Spanish for 'shadower.' It is a wide-brimmed hat from Mexico used to shield from the sun.
Bet you didn’t know I was here! I can tell by the look on your face. You’ve been throwin’ paper in here. You didn’t even know I was here until I shuffled the papers underneath me. Then you saw me. SURPRISE!! Got ya’! I love to surprise my hooman & my scaredy cat siblings. I have tons of hiding places. I jump out at ‘em &, before they can say meow, I’m flyin’ outa’ the room.
Easter? Well, it's not every day that I get to cuddle with an Easter Bunny like Mr. Gray here. Did you check out his whiskers? Good grief. At least they're soft. And those ears -- they're too big! Glad my ears aren't that big. Bet he gets a crick in his neck from hoppin' with those humungous, gynormous ears. Maybe they're really antennas.
SOPHEE: Gracee, what are you looking for? GRACEE: More siblings. SOPHEE: Why? Sometimes you act like you don't like the ones you have! GRACEE: That's precisely why I'm looking! I want a little brother that stays little. SOPHEE: Little cats always get big & guy cats are always bigger than girl cats.
INKEE-BEAR: Exactly what is National Siblings' Day? I like to paw-tee but I gotta' know fur what! SOPHEE: I know what it is. It's the day when we celebrate being together, in our house, with our hooman. It's who we play with, who we cuddle with, who we don't play with, who we can't cuddle with. Understand? INKEE-BEAR: I get it.
